News till 20th Sept.
Hi everyone.
Yeah, its been long time since I've posted anything on my blog.I know that it's not fare, but I was kind of busy. After leaving Karaman, I went to Konya.Reason is that there is no airport in Karaman, thus to have a flight to Istanbul you have to go to Konya. After flight I had hard time caring out bags. 50KG and all of them are on my shoulders. Later I spent some days surfing online and checking all photos and videos that I've missed during my holiday. Last saturday I had meeting with Pentaxians. We took some photos and I made good thing. What I've done? Well I had boring lens for my Canon EOS 5D 12.8 MP Digital SLR Camera and it was Canon EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM Standard Zoom Lens . It's good lens if you shoot at sunlight, good lighting or studio. Otherwise it's not for me. So I went to Hayyam and what I saw?
In the shop that every now and then shout and ignore us, had Canon EF 85mm f/1.8 USM Medium Telephoto Lens. It's been quite long time, in my previous posts you can see that I'm in doubt. Samyang 85mm f1.4
or Canon EF 85mm f1.8
? Well I gave my Canon EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM Standard Zoom Lens and instead I received ad Canon EF 85mm f/1.8 USM Medium Telephoto Lens and old Soviet lens Helios 44m-6 58mm f2.0. So now I've got 2 Helios lenses. :)
Later we walked from Eminonu to Taksim. We took some photos and I gave lesson on Strobist to guys from www.PentaxTurkey.Com. One of the guys had a Dream of all Pentaxians, namely Pentax SMCP-FA 77mm f/1.8 Limited Lens with Case and Hood
. It's good lens with good AF speed on Pentax K-7 14.6 MP Digital SLR .
I wont take your time, here are some photos.
See ya next time.....

So many things during these days.
Hi everyone,
Its been a couple of days since I've posted something or some photos. During these days I had problems with Internet Provider and I had a flight from Istanbul to Konya on Friday. I took some photos with my Pentax K-7 14.6 MP Digital SLR with Shake Reduction and 720p HD Video with DA 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 AL Weather Resistant Lens
. After I took bus to Karaman. Right now I'm in Karaman. Very beautifull town in the middle of Anatolia. I plan to take a walk tomorrow arround town and take some photos and videos.

Canon EOS 5D and Jupiter9 85mm f/2.0
While surfing online I found this photo and little post about Canon EOS 5D 12.8 MP Digital SLR Camera (Body Only)
and Jupiter 9.

"I Wish I Were a Good Portrait Photographer: Jupiter-9 85mm f2
I think there are three classes of legacy lenses LBA people go crazy about. The 50mm standards; 135mm medium-teles; and the 85mm portrait lenses. The former two because of the sheer number of specimens, available at a low price (because of their ubiquity), and the last because they tend to strike the perfect balance between high-speed (fast aperture) and telephoto/compression, which can give you, if you're good enough, the creamiest, most bokelicious shots of people and other subjects. I don't believe there are any lenses longer than 85mm that can do f1.2 (like the Canon 85/1.2L or the Contax Planar 85/1.2), and the same may be true for f1.4.
However, unlike the 50s and 135s, the 85s are still quite expensive, and so anything faster than f1.8 becomes a realy luxury. Thus, perhaps the most popular 85s are the f2s (and I happen to have three of these ;-), of which this Soviet/Russian Jupiter-9 is one of the cheapest. It was my first 85, and this is the second copy I've owned, given to me by a friend back in Japan (the first copy was promptly Ebayed off :-)
Jupiter-9 was originally designed for the Contax and Leica copy cameras of the former Soviet Union (Kiev/Zorki/FED), and was a copy of the Carl Zeiss 85mm f2 Sonnar lens. Later it was adapted to the Zenit SLRs with the M39 screw mount (not to be confused with the Leica M mount, which is also 39mm) and later produced in the M42 mount. It's a classic 7 element / 3 group Sonnar design, very compact, and prone to flare (hence I keep the hood permanently attached). It is really soft wide open so even if you nail focus (which is, mind you, hard to do due to narrow DoF), your pictures will get an almost soft-focus lens look. Which is precisely why a lot of people like it as a portrait lens.
Also notable is its weird bokeh, which, nevertheless, will retain a nice circular shape all the way down to f22, thanks to the amazing 15-bladed aperture."
Some samples for Jupiter9 and Canon EOS 5D
More photos with Jupiter 9
Nowadays, I'm in love with 85mm lens. I know that previously I've mentioned that Samyang 85mm f1.4 is the lens for me and I want to buy it, blah blah blah..... But, after getting Jupiter 9 85mm f2.0 old russian/soviet lens for this funny price -55 USD, I no LONGER need Samyang for 350 USD. Right now, I want to get m42-EOS chipped adapter and starting to use this lens on my Canon EOS 5D 12.8 MP Digital SLR Camera (Body Only)
. Since I dont have adapter for EOS, I will use this lens with my Pentax K-7 14.6 MP Digital SLR with Shake Reduction and 720p HD Video (Body Only)
. Here is one photo I took at Gulhane / Istanbul.

Hi World,
It's been a long time since I wrote something online. I have troubles with Internet provider in my area. It's almost 5 days since they try to improve Internet coverage in my hood. Due to reason above I had plenty of time to sit down and check my old photos. The photo I will share with you this is been taken in February 2010. I've used 2 strobes and 2 umbrellas. 1 of the strobes at half power thus you can see the shadow.
I dont want to take your time. Equipment used will be written below.

Helios 44- 6 m42 Lens.
Today I game one my old lens and instead got Jupiter9 and Helios 44-6. I really like the colors and bokeh of old Russian or Old Soviet Helios 44-6 Lens. Coating is amazing. This lens provide good and vivid colors. Here is a photo of Ercan.
Here is a link to JPEG without any post processing. http://img841.imageshack.us/img841/6936/pnt9584.jpg
In addition to above I found colors of Helios quite real and natural.
